Agency revises pain management standards, focuses on "non-pharmacologic" approaches
In mid-November, the major accrediting agency for health care organizations issued revised accreditation standards to emphasize "non-pharmacologic" options. These include chiropractic, acupuncture, massage, physical and other therapies. The revised standards from the Joint Commission also focus on integrative care between multiple providers
