Study shows no long-term benefit of surgery for spinal stenosis
A study in the journal Spine suggests surgery and conservative treatments result in similar long-term outcomes for patients with spinal stenosis. Of the study participants who had surgery, 18% had repeat surgeries for recurrent spinal stenosis within eight years
