Adults who slept between 7-8 hours per night were less likely to miss work days due to sickness, according to a study of more than 3,700 workers over age 30 in Finland. Researchers also estimated that the overall cost of worker sick days could be reduced by 28% if sleep disturbances such as insomnia & apnea were eliminated. The findings appear in the journal Sleep.
