Ancient cultures have long touted the health benefits of consuming honey. Modern science has supported them, too: honey has powerful antiseptic and antibacterial properties. Containing minerals such as iron, calcium, phosphate, sodium chlorine, potassium, magnesium, and vitamin-rich in B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6, honey may be useful in treating burns, infections and wounds, including chronic wounds from conditions like diabetic foot.
