How to use playground equipment to power your workout

Who needs a gym when you can find everything you need for a good workout at your local park, argues Jim White, owner of Jim White Fitness & Nutrition Studios in Virginia Beach, Va. He describes how you can use swings, trees and slides to power your pushups, planks and squats. "To create a more intense plank pose or pushup, use a swing to rest your legs. Your abs will be put to work as your body fights to resist swaying to the sides," he says.
